New Satellite opening in Market Drayton - July 2008

Helping you to help yourself

The Independent Living Partnership is opening a new satellite centre at Raven House, 129 Cheshire Street Market Drayton. The satellite centre will be opening on Monday 21st July 2008, from 9am to 4pm. Consultations will be carried out twice a month and are by appointment.

The Independent Living Centre provides free independent advice and information regarding equipment and services to aid daily living. We consult with clients to assess their needs on behalf of Shropshire Community Services. If people are eligible, equipment can be provided free of charge.

Our aim is to help people increase independence. If you are experiencing problems with mobility, toileting or bathing our qualified assessor can consult with you to find suitable equipment to assist your daily living.

Innovative support from 'Remap' in the development of an assessment bath tool has given us the opportunity to carry out this range of assessments.

We can also provide advice regarding direct payments for equipment. This increases the choice of equipment available and can support a person in buying a specific piece of equipment they prefer.

For anybody who wishes to purchase their own equipment, our Sales Support Team can carry out research into the vast range of products available.

Anyone can contact the Independent Living Partnership for a consultation. You can refer yourself or can be referred by a family member, friend or health professional.
