Me and You Project

Interesting new service from The Albrighton Trust - Me & You Project.

The Me & You Project is a Lottery funded project for young people aged 15-25, with special educational needs, learning difficulties and/or disabilities. The project has been designed to build the skills, confidence and self esteem of the young people by providing positive outdoor experiences in a ‘green-blue’ environment. We use a mix of outdoor activities based around horticulture, wildlife/conservation and angling alongside a range of personal development techniques to enable and empower all group members. The activity sessions will be run by skilled, qualified staff and are often supported by experienced volunteers. The emphasis of all the sessions is participation, learning, development and enjoyment. All the young people will have the opportunity to work as part of a team, take on leadership roles where suitable, share their skills, try new activities and hopefully make new friends. All of this is done in the welcoming, friendly and positive environment of The Moat and Garden site at Albrighton. The stage 1 (taster sessions) are free of charge and consist of six weekly sessions. Planned 2015/2016 start dates:
  • September 14th
  • February 8th
  • April 11th
  • June 25th
Following the completion of the 6 Me & You stage 1 taster sessions there will be opportunity to enroll onto stage 2 and further develop skills in horticulture, conservation or angling. What you need to do:If you’re a young person interested in this opportunity contact us with your interest.
