Training Courses from Independent Living Partnership

ILP is an accredited Open College Network (OCN) Learning Centre and many of our training courses carry an OCN Quality Endorsement.

ILP trainers deliver a range of courses to support formal and informal carers, which include Moving and Handling of People, Load Handling, and Practical Hoisting. Training for carers is important as it helps to ensure they can work in safety and maintain dignity of their clients.

Our Trainers hold BTEC Level 4 Qualifications through RoSPA and are experienced in delivery of courses which encourage practical activities with the equipment carers may be using.

ILP also delivery an Accredited Trusted Assessor course which is designed to enable front line workers in Health and Social Care to identify equipment to support their client's daily lives.

Trusted Assessor - Accredited

The two-day workshops have been developed from the Trusted Assessor Competency Framework commissioned by the Department of Health. It is accredited at Level 2 by the Open College Network.

Risk Assessment

There is a choice of two 1 day courses. The first course provides a basic introduction to risk assessment. The second course develops these skills for the workplace and may be more suitable for those in supervisory or management positions.

Foot Health Practitioners help to keep people’s feet healthy and give advice on day-to-day foot care to ensure they are well kept into old age. Good foot care may help reduce the risks of developing foot problems and improve mobility, particularly for older people who may be unable to care for their own feet.
