Promoting Healthy Feet & Foot Comfort

Who is the course for

Do you have an interest in caring for and promoting healthy, comfortable feet?

Foot Health Practitioners help to keep people’s feet healthy and give advice on day-to-day foot care to ensure they are well kept into old age.

Good foot care may help reduce the risks of developing foot problems and improve mobility, particularly for older people who may be unable to care for their own feet.

What does the course include

This half-day introductory course gives advice on how to;

  • Keep feet healthy
  • Identify common foot conditions and complaints
  • Identify and advise on good, supportive footwear
  • Understand the impact of wear and tear on older people’s feet
  • Recognise when a referral to a Foot Health professional may be appropriate

This course is delivered by ILP's Foot Health Practitioners who hold a Diploma in Foot Health through the SMAE Institute.
